At the time of purchasing a fire extinguisher, I was advised by the service technicians that it is a necessity to carry out periodical Fire Extinguisher Maintenance at least once a month or when advised by inspectors after inspection. They also specified if the fire extinguisher is used under severe environmental condition, then I need to maintain and service the fire extinguisher at regular intervals. Keeping fire extinguishers well maintained and frequently serviced ensures the safety of house inmates through proper functioning. They specifically stated that hydrostatic testing is also an integral part of good maintenance.
