When my nephew moved away to college his mother wanted to send him well equipped. She wanted him to have a qood quality cookware set, but she didn't want to spend a fortune on it. She also didn't want to purchase a really cheap thin walled cookware set knowing that everything he cooked would burn easily. She knew that whatever type of cookware she bought it would be abused and mis-used by both my nephew and his room-mate.  She was able to find him a set from Calphalon in Target. It's called Essentials. It was a low cost quality cookware perfect for him. He moved into his dorm at least two years ago, and the Essentials cookware set is still hanging in there.
