retail sale
DLiLAngel16 asked:

I’ve just started a retail position in a clothing store, I’m only seasonal for the holidays, but I do know there is room for one person to stay on after the holidays and I want to make sure it is me. I’ve also never worked in clothing before…. my question is, how can I be a better associate in clothing and what is the best way to up sale?

put an ad in a clothing magazine and some people may see it and will hopefully go to it.

Suggestive selling. Try to sell accessories that match the purchase they are making.

The best way to sell in retail is to know your product, in this case look at curent fashions and trends and when a customer piucks up or looks at an itam suggest items that may go well with it also, if you know enough about fashion to talk about the designer and their main philosophy, do that, customers feel better taking advice or buying from someone who seems like they know alot about the product.
