mikeybruises asked:

I live New York, If I sale retail on-line, do my New York customers have to pay New York state Sales tax? Is there a way I can avoid this? My concern is that many of my customer may be New Yorkers.

Since your business is in New York, you are required to collect and remit NY sales tax. By choosing not to collect sales tax, you will become personally liable for all of the tax that you did not collect.

How hard do you think it will be to collect the tax from your customers if you are audited?
